UAP help to raise over £10,000 at the 3rd Annual DCWC Nepal Charity Ball

image003After months of hard work and planning, DCWC Nepal’s 3rd Annual Charity Ball proved to be a great success, raising over £10,000 to support schools and healthcare projects in Nepal.

DCWC Nepal is a registered UK charity based in the Fylde area in the North West of England. The charity was formed to provide more effective support to its colleagues at the Development of Women and Children Centre in Nepal. It is difficult to put into words the level of commitment and support provided by DCWC Nepal, but after building 15 schools and with a hospital build project well on its way, you can imagine the huge impact that this small charity has had on so many lives.
UAP Ltd have raised a tremendous amount of money for DCWC Nepal in the past, building 5 schools in Nepal, raising £15,000 at a Charity Ball and funding filming for a documentary about the Charity’s work. Keen to raise funds for DCWC’s hospital build project, Managing Director David Jennings supported the event by sponsoring the Charity Ball, inviting 100 customers to attend as UAP guests.
DCWC Patron Gary Collier expressed his gratitude for David’s support, “We are indebted to Dave and UAP for their continued support for the schools and for the hospital. Without it the hospital would not have happened. We thank him very much and hope he and his customers enjoyed their evening.”
This year the Charity had managed to get hold of some fabulous auction items and experiences. This was a thoroughly enjoyable evening for everyone who attended thanks to the Charity’s hard work, and thanks to the guests’ generosity, DCWC Nepal were able to raise vital funds. Along with donations, DCWC Nepal raised a grand total of £10,500 on the night, which is a fantastic result.
