The pick comes with the VMI  which enables you to plot your actions using the felt pen.

Technical  Information

Construction:

This is a precision engineered tool and is constructed of Grade 303 Stainless Steel with a Thumbturn of Anodised Aluminium.

Chris Belcher designed this tool with a sliding Aluminium Thumb-turn instead of a bar, to give more control over manipulation and reduce the tools’ ‘end weight’.

Characteristics:

This tool is not affected by a worn key-way. [We have come across many locks which have badly worn key-ways, to the extent that the key guide [tooth] no longer exists within the entrance to the lock-case]. Once proficient, set-up time for this tool/pick is just about zero, except for checking the handing of the lock,  and also checking that all the wheels are at the start position.

Optional Equipment:

An audio amplifier is also an advantage as the sound and/or tactile  characteristics of this lock vary  greatly between locks depending upon usage and age of the lock.  

Times for opening vary, but anything between 5 mins to 35 mins depending on the condition of the lock.
