Adding high security to your doors doesn’t have to cost the earth. We have devised three affordable ways in which you can achieve the important TS007:2012 Kitemark three star rating with Secured by Design approval.
The three star security rating was developed by Glass and Glazing Federation and Door and Hardware Federation in response to thieves using more sophisticated ways of breaking into doors which have been broadcast on the internet. The Kitemark gives individual products a one, two or three star rating. These products can then be used on their own or combined to achieve three stars.
Option 1: MAX6MUM SECURITY TS007 2 Star Door Handle and UAP+ ZeroLift 1 Star Euro Cylinder
The first way to three stars is to use our new 2 Star High Security Door Handle with our 1 Star ZeroLift Euro Cylinder Lock.
The High Security Handles have been designed to stop advanced attack methods used by today’s burglars. They have an integrated cylinder guard to protect the lock from attack by drilling and cylinder snapping. Self-adhesive backing tabs are also used to add to the attack resistance, aid in easy fitting and protect against damaging water penetration. The handles are available in Black, White, Gold Anodised, Silver Anodised, and in Nanocoast® finishes, Mirror Polished Stainless Steel, Satin Stainless Steel and PVD Gold.
The combination of the 2 Star High Security Handle and the new and improved UAP+ ZeroLift 1 Star Cylinders will provide full protection against common burglary techniques. The UAP+ Cylinders are Anti-Snap, Anti-Bump, Anti-Drill and Anti-Pick. They also have a new super smooth action and have unique timing pins for ultimate Anti-Bump protection.
Option 2: MAX6MUM SECURITY 2 Star Cylinder Guard and UAP+ ZeroLift 1 Star Euro Cylinder
The second option to reach the coveted three stars is by combining the 1 Star UAP+ ZeroLift Cylinder with our new 2 Star Cylinder Guard. This fits inside the door to encase and protect the cylinder, it features a unique hardened steel anti-drill plate, a pointed anti-drill high tensile steel bolt and anti-axial rotational lugs. These protect the cylinder from attacks such as drilling, forced rotation and snapping. The cylinder guard provides the flexibility to use any handle style you desire. The cylinder guards comes in two sizes that will fit most multipoint locks.
Option 3: 3 Star Kinetica Super Cylinder – COMING SOON
The new Kinetica Super Cylinder gives the flexibility of achieving low cost three star security with any handle. Its patent pending design offers a unique defence against forced entry. If attacked, the Kinetica cylinder remains secure from the outside but can still be opened from inside so occupants are not trapped. The Kinetica features our new timing pins, these control the physical time when a cylinder is bumped and interrupt the normal reaction of the pins. It uses standard keys that can be cut anywhere from normal blanks and is ideal for master suiting. The cylinder is anti-snap, anti-bump and anti-drill and anti-pick.
