Picking and Decoding the BMW HU92 Ignition using the Genuine Lishi pick and decoder Vol.3

Welcome to the guided series for picking and decoding the BMW HU92 Ignition using the Genuine Lishi pick and decoder Vol.3.

The decode procedure differs with the twin lift and single lift tool only in the direction in which you take the decode. With the single lift tool, you decode in the opposite direction to the way you picked, so if you picked down you decode up. With the twin lift tool, you decode in the same direction as the way you picked. We use the single lift in this guide, so we must decode in the opposite direction to the way we picked.

We have the lock picked open and held in the open position. We then need to move the lifting arms arrow to position one, move the arrow along the position line in the opposite direction to the way we picked, using the single lift tool until it stops. It will stop on a line that corresponds with the key cuts on the right side of the tool grid, this will be your key cut. We do this for each position in turn until the whole key is decoded.

So with the lock in open position, and held their by the tension arm, we begin our decode:

Position one decodes as a number two key cut.

Position two decodes as a number three key cut.

Position three decodes as a number three key cut.

Position four decodes as a number three key cut.

Position five decodes as a number two key cut.

Position number six decodes as a number two key cut.

Position seven decodes as a number two key cut.

Position eight decodes as a number three key cut.

So, as expected, there’s no number four cuts in this lock. Our lock is now decoded and gives us a key from bow to tip in positions one to eight of “23332223”. Simply insert the cuts into your cut to code machine and cut the perfect key.
